MY ROLE
I was appointed to the role of Communications Head for CFC-Youth NJ’s annual Liveloud Concert, a benefit worship concert to raise money for CFC’s philanthropic foundation, ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) and to help us sponsor the education of an underprivileged child in the Philippines. Liveloud NJ: In Gloria Dei, was set to take place at Montclair State University’s Memorial Auditorium on January 14, 2017.
Typically a role meant for two people, my partner abandoned ship early into the planning stages of the event in November 2016, leaving me to take on double the work. I put together a team from across the state who were passionate about photography, graphic design, video editing and videography, writing, and social media and worked with them to create promotional materials and provide live on-site documentation for the event by designing a logistics system for uploading in-between each set of the program. In order to spread the word about the concert, we took advantage of word of mouth marketing by enlisting members to sell tickets at their local churches and sell to their friends and family and responding to any issues that caused slow sales.
At the end of the event, we were able to raise almost $10,000 to support not just one child, but two children for their school years up to high school.
