Timeline: October 2019 - November 2020

One of my major goals coming into my position was to increase press and media coverage for Island Spa. Starting from scratch and with very few travel and hospitality media contacts, I was able to build up our credits and press coverage and provide an opening to better handle media inquiries as a major marketing strategy. We made room in the marketing budget for media monitoring platforms such as Meltwater and Cision. Public relations and media value is a much more important part of how we conduct business, and media and customer communication plays a huge role in how Island’s other departments such as sales, management, and customer service operate on a daily basis.
