Couples for Christ (CFC) USA, National Conference 2018 Video Subcommittee Co-Director

MY ROLE

I’ve been active in Couples for Christ-Youth USA, a global Catholic, Vatican-recognized family ministry since 2013 at the age of 16. In 2018, I was asked to serve at the 24th Annual USA National Conference, which took place at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte from June 30 to July 2 under the theme “Full Blast”, as part of the communications and documentation team as one of the Video Subcommittee Co-Directors based on my previous work with my local New Jersey chapter.

Knowing that my partner’s strengths were in advanced editing and shooting, and that my strength was in logistics, we worked together with our communications heads, social media and photography subcommittees, couple coordinators, and the host chapter of North Carolina to put together a creative strategy to create marketing materials before the event, build a team for ground and air coverage, cover the entire 3-day event down to the minute with room for each team member’s other obligations, and for post-conference recaps.

With a team of young talent from around the country passionate about using their skills for good, we were able to provide complete video coverage for our members and the nearly 700 attendees of the conference, going above and beyond recap videos, but through livestream as well.
